every hand is on deck. The next step, according to Professor Ukwenya will be to explore the diverse potentials in Nigerians and return the country to where it belongs, among the comity of cricket playing nations. Professor Ukwenya said that the federation will support
states where the sport is least developed to ensure cricket is played in every nook and cranny of the country. “Apart from having the best players on the pitch, we believe in bringing together the best brains to administer the sport and the best technical hands to guide the young ones on the pitch, no matter where they come from,” he said, adding, “if everything we do is based on merit, we will surely get good results. And with results, nobody will ask where the players or administrators come from.”
